Based on the Stanford Method, this interactive educational workshop for children and their parents/caregivers explores Problem Solving, Innovation, and STEM concepts for children aged 3-5. New & improved version! Read about and view pictures from the first workshop here.

Join us on our journey to Outerspace - Going back to Jupiter! DODO the little alien is missing his parents who are back on planet Jupiter. He wants to go back home but needs help finding his way back. Can you help him?

  • Explore basic prototyping concepts as we take the children through a series of educational yet fun activities surrounding design thinking.

  • Nurture and cultivate an innovative mindset through brainstorming and thinking outside the box.

  • Take an idea from concept to execution by building a spaceship or other tools to take DODO back home!

Dearest is a platform that connects families with amazing educators who can teach and take care of children. We are all about inspiring the young minds and exposing them to fun and educational activities. Our educators are superstars of the early education field. Many from Bank Street, Columbia Teachers College, Top Schools in NY and more. Join us in this interactive workshop at Columbia Startup Lab, 175 Varick St on Saturday, May 20 between 10.30 am - 12 noon. We can't wait to see you there!
